Retroviral and targeted transgenesis
The objectives of the group are to develop and to establish new approaches and technologies for mammalian transgenesis. This group provides the well established transgene technologies at highest international standards as an enabling platform for the whole research consortium. The research platform concentrates on the establishment of the Lentivirus technology for delivery and scientific evaluation of small RNAis and innovative methods for gene targeting in zygotes. A third field of activities is the provision of an in vivo challenge facility for the research consortium and the further development of phenotyping tools and methodologies in mutant mice.
